The BTrace includes a small hardware tag and a mobile application. The BTrace tag includes Multi tracking component inside tag (GPS, gyro, accelerometer, compass…) .the tag sensitive to 9 degrees of freedom: 3-axis gyroscope, 3-axis accelerometer, 3-axis digital compass. It also includes receivers, microprocessor that runs the software and the motion algorithm, a Bluetooth component, Mobile, WI-Fi communication (Indoor and outdoor solution) and a small battery.
The BTrace algorithm collects data from the sensors, processes the data and calculates its’ position. The position is transferred to the mobile and the mobile application showsthe distance and direction to the BTrace tag. In tags with GPS and wifi sensors - if GPS, GPRS or Wifi signal is collected – the algorithm uses this data in order to give a more accurate position.
Bluetooth technology
Bluetooth wireless technology is a short-range communications technology. The operating range depends on the device class: we use BT low power protocol that providesa range of up to 100 meters or 328 feet.
Using the Bluetooth and its propriety tracking algorithm, BTrace can work anywhere, including indoors. When it does not get a GPS signal, wireless network or mobile operator network, it calculates position based on its inside, stand alone, technology. In a scenario the tag is out of range – user receives a voice alarm notification. The tag has a waterproof version and the battery can last at least 6 months.

“Pseudo-GPS” - Using the BTrace app for iPhone and Android, a user can locate lost items in seconds. When an item goes missing, the device broadcasts a wireless signal. When another BTrace app user comes within 100 feet of the lost item, their phone sends a message to BTrace server with the updated GPS location of the item, and then the owner receives a GPS update on where the item is located.
